Produção integrada ganha reforço de R$ 3 milhões para garantir alimento saudável

Culturas como abacaxi,  banana, citros,  maçã, rosas, uva de mesa, hortaliças, morango e pêssego são algumas das 35 cadeias produtivas contempladas no Sistema Agropecuário de Produção Integrada (Sapi), presente em 20 unidades da federação e coordenado pelo Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (Mapa).  Nos últimos três anos, o ministério investiu nessa atividade R$ 3 milhões para promover projetos de produção integrada e beneficiou 8,4 mil produtores rurais, técnicos e extensionistas.

– Atuamos para oferecer produtos seguros, tanto à saúde humana quanto a animal, com qualidade e sustentabilidade. Monitoramos todas as etapas de produção, análise de resíduos de agrotóxicos e a utilização das tecnologias adequadas – enfatiza o coordenador de Produção Integrada da Cadeia Agrícola da Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Agropecuário e Cooperativismo do Mapa, Adilson Kososki.

O Sapi mostra que é possível ao agricultor  racionalizar o uso de inseticidas e fungicidas  em até 100% no  plantio de arroz e  em 50% na cultura da batata. Além disso, os produtores podem reduzir em 31% o uso de ureia nas lavouras e 43% a quantidade de cloreto de potássio.

A rastreabilidade dos alimentos é conferida em todas as etapas do processo produtivo, por meio da certificação, que tem a chancela oficial do Ministério da Agricultura e do Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Normalização e Qualidade Industrial (Inmetro). Dessa forma, o consumidor tem a garantia de adquirir alimento produzido de acordo com a Norma Técnica Específica.

– Hoje, existem 16  normas  publicadas no Diário Oficial da União, como as da banana, caju, caqui, citros, figo, melão, manga, uva de mesa e pêssego. As mais recentes foram estabelecidas em 2009, para a cultura do mamão e, em 2008, para morango e abacaxi – ressalta Kososki.

Cada projeto de produção integrada varia de acordo com a cultura. No estágio inicial, é formada comissão técnica, que tem o papel de sensibilizar e envolver os membros da cadeia produtiva, capacitar os produtores, promover  a gestão das propriedades e o desenvolvimento dos processos de produção com validação de tecnologias a campo
