Preços dos suínos caem com exportação menor

As consecutivas baixas nos preços do animal vivo e da carne têm aumentado a apreensão dos suinocultores. As fortes quedas nas últimas semanas ainda refletem a suspensão da compra de carne suína de alguns frigoríficos do sul do Brasil pela Rússia. O volume destinado à exportação continua chegando “em excesso” ao atacado nacional. Ontem o preço chegou a R$ 43,00 a arroba em São Paulo, o menor desde 2007.

As exportações parecem mesmo ter sua parcela de responsabilidade sobre a desvalorização dos suínos no mercado nacional. Comparações do volume embarcado num mês com a quantidade de igual mês do ano anterior revelam quedas ao longo dos últimos 12 meses (de fevereiro de 2010 a janeiro de 2011) com uma única exceção em agosto, quando os embarques superaram em 5% os de 2009. Ainda que, em 2009, a economia sentia com muito mais intensidade os reflexos da crise financeira internacional que ao longo de 2010.

A explicação para as fortes desvalorizações baseada no aumento da oferta é respaldada também pelo ritmo da economia nacional, que sinaliza consumo (geral) aquecido. Vale notar ainda que a carne suína está “muito barata” em relação à bovina no atacado. Na primeira semana de fevereiro, o preço médio da carcaça casada bovina no atacado da Grande São Paulo era 63% maior que o da carcaça comum suína. Na primeira semana de fevereiro de 2004 a 2010, a vantagem do boi era em média de 14,5% – foram analisadas especificamente a primeira semana de fevereiro de cada ano.
