Novo ministro da Agricultura reafirma apoio a CEPLAC e às empresas vinculadas

O ministro da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento, Wagner Rossi, empossado na quarta-feira (31), informou durante a cerimônia de transmissão de cargo que manterá o apoio às empresas de pesquisa vinculadas ao Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (Mapa). Ele disse que dará continuidade ao trabalho realizado pela gestão anterior e que manterá o apoio aos produtores rurais, compatibilizando produção agrícola com a preservação ambiental. Na ocasião o ex-ministro Reinhold Stephanes ressaltou os grandes avanços na reorientação e valorização da Ceplac como grande instituição de pesquisa. Ele afirmou que é preciso concluir a reestruturação da empresa e com isso impulsionar ainda mais a cacauicultura nacional. Rossi lembrou que nos últimos três anos integrou a equipe de Reinhold Stephanes, como presidente da Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab). Ele mencionou medidas importantes para o agricultor como o apoio à comercialização, a garantia de preços mínimos e o apoio a programas específicos para a pequena agricultura. O novo ministro ressaltou suas origens familiares no campo e seu trabalho na produção rural em uma das regiões agropecuárias mais importantes do País, Ribeirão Preto/SP.
