Em Mato Grosso, onde a colheita do milho safrinha está mais adiantada, os agricultores estão estocando a produção a céu aberto.

Na região de Lucas do Rio Verde, a situação preocupa. Silos lotados e milho jogado a céu aberto. Em Lucas do Rio Verde, em Mato Grosso, a colheita da safrinha começou a menos de um mês e a falta de espaço para guardar a produção já preocupa.

Em um armazém, até o fim de semana, pelo menos dez mil toneladas precisam ser colocadas no chão para dar lugar ao milho que vem da lavoura. Os prêmios de escoamento do governo, liberados nos últimos dias, movimentaram o mercado. Só que o estoque encalhado ainda é muito alto no estado.

Mesmo com os leilões realizados pela Conab, o problema deve continuar nos próximos dias. Boa parte do milho que está dentro dos armazéns é do governo, que ainda não escoou o produto.

“Grande dificuldade hoje, no nosso caso específico, é a parte de armazém, que a gente ainda tem o milho do ano passado que ainda se encontra em nosso armazém. A nossa capacidade hoje, neste armazém, é de 120 mil toneladas, sendo que 85 mil toneladas ainda são do governo, de milho do ano passado. Então esta dificuldade por parte de espaço nós ainda vamos ter porque tem um pouco de milho alocado da safra de 2009”, explica Rodrigo Plantes, gerente comercial.

De acordo com a Conab, a produção de milho safrinha, em Mato Grosso, deve atingir os 7,1 milhões de toneladas. Queda de 5% em relação ao ano anterior, por causa das perdas com a estiagem.
