Ilhéus faz reciclagem do lixo rural

A iniciativa beneficia as comunidades de Inema e Pimenteira, na zona rural. Além de dar solução final adequada aos resíduos sólidos, o projeto vem mudando a realidade dos moradores, gerando emprego e renda para a população.

Com a necessidade de atender à crescente demanda de produção de lixo na zona rural, a secretaria municipal de Governo e Assuntos Estratégicos propôs a criação de um projeto que solucionasse o recolhimento e a destinação final do lixo.

Com a utilização de recursos já existentes no local, recrutamento de pessoas da própria comunidade, a prefeitura em parceria com o empresário Marcos Lucato iniciou o projeto-piloto de reciclagem no distrito de Inema.

O projeto vem mudando a rotina da coleta de lixo no distrito, que passou a ser feita duas vezes ao dia. No local foi construído um galpão, que serve de abrigo para os resíduos recolhidos e selecionados, além de valas para aterrar os rejeitos.

A cada coleta é feita triagem dos dejetos, inclusive do material orgânico, que vai servir na preparação de adubo. A cada coleta, tudo que pode ser reaproveitado segue para o galpão.

“Com o distrito limpo, a saúde da população local também é beneficiada já que diminui os possíveis reservatórios de mosquito da dengue, por exemplo, entre outros criatórios para outros animais nocivos”, afirmou Lucato.
