IF Baiano empossa diretor do Campus Emarc Uruçuca

No que depender do professor Euro Oliveira Araújo, o campus do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Baiano (IF Baiano) neste município do Sul do Estado, situado a 405 quilômetros de Salvador, continuará sendo conhecido como Campus Emarc Uruçuca. A medida, em reconhecimento ao trabalho em favor da educação agrotécnica e tecnológica do berço da Escola Média de Agropecuária Regional da Ceplac (Emarc), há 45 anos, foi anunciada na tarde de segunda-feira, 5, durante sua posse como diretor da unidade.

O diretor agradeceu à Reitoria a confiança de sua indicação pela história de bons serviços da Emarc nas áreas da educação, pesquisa agrícola e extensão rural orientada pela Ceplac. Na sua fala destacou o Projeto Agrícola Orientado das unidades de Uruçuca, Itapetinga, Teixeira de Freitas e Valença como experiência de sucesso de professores e alunos que sugeriu seja replicada em todos os campi do IF Baiano, particularmente Bom Jesus da Lapa, Catu, Guanambi, Santa Inês e Senhor do Bonfim. “Temos a missão de construir uma gestão democrática, pautada no diálogo e respeito às diferenças das idéias no Campus Emarc Uruçuca”, garantiu Euro Araújo.

A solenidade foi presidida pelo reitor Sebastião Edson Moura que destacou ser a Emarc – Uruçuca marco pioneiro do ensino agrícola nos estados produtores de cacau da Bahia e Rondônia, assistidos pela Ceplac. “Chamei a responsabilidade de indicação do diretor pelas perspectivas que se abrem para a unidade que me causou boa impressão pela infraestrutura do campus e a dedicação dos professores e funcionários” disse o reitor, que também lembrou ser o campus Catu berço das escolas agrotécnicas do IF Baiano.

No seu discurso, o reitor declarou que poucas escolas no Brasil terão a condição da Emarc Uruçuca, nos próximos anos, com cursos técnicos, licenciatura, mestrado profissional e educação de jovens e adultos. “Foi o que disse, em Brasília, ao ministro da Educação, Fernando Haddad. Independente deste grande aliado, o IF Baiano não terá sucesso se vocês não estiverem conosco na construção do futuro”, declarou Sebastião Moura, acrescentando que a meta do Campus Emarc Uruçuca, nos próximos quatro anos, é passar dos atuais 350 para 1.200 alunos.

Por ser trabalho desafiador, o reitor considera serem necessárias parcerias com a Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (Uesc), as prefeituras, associações e sindicatos para construção do projeto dos campi regionais do Instituto Federal Baiano para os quais a integração das quatro unidades da Emarc foram essenciais. “É premissa fundamental para o País, a implantação de 354 escolas técnicas federais até o final do ano em um projeto de investimento que tem cara do governo do presidente Lula, que acredita na Educação como instrumento para orientar a educação de jovens e adolescentes. Neste ano 212 mil novos alunos entrarão na Rede Federal de Educação Tecnológica”, acrescentou.

O diretor adjunto da Ceplac, Edmir Ferraz, presente no ato, lembrou que nestes 45 anos a Emarc – Uruçuca produziu sonhos, realidades e incontáveis resultados. Contudo, destacou a formação de 8.600 alunos nos cursos técnicos de Agropecuária, Agrimensura, Tecnologia de Alimentos, Hotelaria e Turismo e mais de 105 mil trabalhadores rurais que atualmente estão no mercado de trabalho. “É um patrimônio que estamos oferecendo na passagem de sua direção ao IF Baiano. Apesar do sentimento de perda, temos a alegria por saber que os alunos vão compartilhar a proposta nova de revitalizar a instituição de ensino fundada em 1965 pela Ceplac”, afirmou, fazendo a leitura do nome dos 21 ex-diretores da Emarc – Uruçuca como última homenagem.

A transferência das unidades da Emarc IF Baiano tiveram início dia 29 de março em Teixeira de Freitas, com a posse do diretor Marcelito Trindade Almeida. Dia 31 assumiu Valença o professor Francisco Harley de O. Mendonça. Na segunda-feira, 5, o professor José Assunção S. Júnior assumiu a direção em Itapetinga.

A cerimônia em Uruçuca foi prestigiada pelo superintendente de Desenvolvimento da Região Cacaueira no Estado da Bahia da Ceplac, Antonio Zózimo de Matos Costa; coordenador do Centro de Educação da Ceplac (Ceduc), Eduardo César Lavinscky; prefeito de Uruçuca e presidente da Associação dos Municípios da Região Sul, Extremo-Sul e Sudoeste da Bahia (Amurc), Moacyr Leite Junior. Ainda, o presidente da Câmara Municipal, Erivaldo Pereira Guimarães; e o diretor do campus Catu, Alex Batista.

Também estiveram presentes, os representantes da Câmara Municipal de Ilhéus, vereador Reinaldo Oliveira; dos alunos, Roniere Brito, e ex-alunos Ismael Rosa, dentre outras autoridades e convidados. Depois de afirmar que todas as nove unidades do IF Baiano terão o mesmo tratamento, o reitor Sebastião Edson Moura convidou os professores Edésio Moreau e Darci Ferreira Santana para integrar a direção do Campus Emarc Uruçuca.
