Governo incentiva cultivo de dendê em áreas degradadas

O Conselho Monetário Nacional (CMN) aprovou, nesta quinta-feira (29), a inclusão do dendê (também conhecido como palma) nas linhas de crédito para o Programa de Estímulo à Produção Agropecuária Sustentável (Produsa) e Programa de Plantio Comercial e Recuperação de Florestas (Propflora). A medida incentiva a contratação de operações de crédito de investimento destinado à cultura do dendê, especialmente quando cultivado em áreas degradadas.

O Produsa, que é amparado por recursos do Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), poderá financiar a implantação da cultura de dendê como projeto de recuperação de áreas degradadas, aplicando-se, neste caso, a taxa de juros de 5,75% ao ano. Também foram estipuladas as condições de pagamento, que incluem prazo de até 12 anos, com até seis anos de carência.

O Conselho decidiu, ainda, retirar a restrição do Propflora, que antes previa financiamento para a implantação e manutenção de florestas de dendezeiros desde que direcionado à produção de biodiesel. Também foi elevado para R$ 300 mil o limite de crédito do programa, atendendo antiga solicitação do setor de florestas plantadas. Além disso, o prazo específico para a cultura de dendê, a partir de agora será de até 12 anos, com até seis anos de carência.
