Governador promete ajuda aos Cacauicultores Capixabas

Com o decisivo apoio do deputado Atayde Armani, presidente da Comissão de Agricultura da Assembléia Legislativa do Estado do Espírito Santo, no dia 14 de abril foi recebida em audiência pelo governador Renato Casagrande, uma comissão composta por mais de 30 produtores e lideranças do cacau capixaba, tais como: Sindicato Rural de Linhares, Sindicato dos Trabalhadores Rurais de Linhares e Sooretama, Associação dos Cacauicultores de Linhares, Associação  dos Produtores Rurais de Perobas, Bananal do Sul e Adjacências, Comissão Executiva do Plano da Lavoura Cacaueira, Secretaria de Agricultura e Abastecimento de Linhares, Instituto Capixaba de Pesquisa, Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural, Floresta Rio Doce e Agroderivados, SICOOB Leste Capixaba.
Na oportunidade, o deputado Atayde relatou que vem acompanhando de perto a difícil situação que passa a lavoura cacaueira e, por isso, solicitou ao governador que ouvisse seus representantes. A seguir, em nome da comissão, Paulo Roberto Siqueira, gerente Regional da CEPLAC, fez minuciosa exposição das inúmeras dificuldades dos produtores de cacau, com a sua lavoura infestada de vassoura de bruxa, comparando com a Bahia que havia passado por situação parecida, mas está recuperando sua produção através de financiamento em condições especiais. São 20 anos para pagar, sendo 8 anos de carência e juros bastante acessíveis. Detalhou os pontos críticos, o caminho a percorrer e o que a categoria espera das autoridades, um socorro urgente e a preservação do bioma da Mata Atlântica e a Bacia do Baixo Rio Doce.
Siqueira, em sua exposição, relatou que a região produzia em média 12.000 toneladas de cacau e fechou 2.010 com menos de 6.000 toneladas, possui aproximadamente 1.200 produtores de cacau, sendo que a grande maioria é composta de pequenos produtores e agricultores familiares. Disse ainda serem 5.000 empregos diretos e 15.000 indiretos. Alertou para o desemprego e a queda de arrecadação estadual e municipal.
Representante da classe, o produtor Paulo Gonçalves destacou que, sem uma forte ajuda governamental, a maioria não conseguirá sobreviver, principalmente os pequenos produtores e os agricultores familiares.
Sensibilizado pela situação caótica dos cacauicultores capixabas o governador Renato Casagrande prometeu comprar e distribuir para os produtores 150.000 mudas clonais tolerantes à vassoura de bruxa sugerida pelo secretário da Agricultura Ênio Bergoli. O governador Casagrande afirmou que ele iria pessoalmente a Brasília em busca de ajuda federal, e o que mais for preciso. Disse ainda que um financiamento nos moldes do que foi concedido aos produtores da Bahia será absolutamente necessário e que iria lutar por isso, sendo aplaudido efusivamente pelos presentes.
A ESTRADA PARA POVOAÇÃO
Durante a audiência o governador surpreendeu a todos com a notícia de que estava concluída a licitação para a restauração da estrada beira-rio, de acesso a Povoação, que está intransitável e desbarrancada pela ação do Rio Doce cuja obra será iniciada imediatamente.
Os cacauicultores saíram da audiência, esperançosos e convictos da firme disposição do governador Renato Casagrande e da sua prometida ajuda.
