Dia de Campo orienta combate à febre aftosa na região de Coaraci

Um corpo-a-corpo com os pecuaristas da região para que sejam ultrapassados os índices de vacinação do rebanho bovino que ficaram acima de 98% ano passado. Foi como o diretor-geral da Agência de Defesa Agropecuária da Bahia, Cássio Peixoto, classificou o Dia de Campo que reuniu cerca de 300 pessoas do segmento agropecuário de Almadina, Barro Preto, Coaraci, Itajuípe, Itabuna e Coaraci para palestras sobre febre aftosa, brucelose e raiva bovina, na quinta-feira, 20, na Fazenda Pedacinho do Céu, na rodovia Itajuípe – Coaraci, neste último município, promovido pela ADAB, Ceplac, EBDA, Uesc e Secretaria de Agricultura, Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Econômico de Coaraci.
Segundo explicou, o Brasil e a Bahia se posicionam de forma positiva no combate à doença, aumento do índice de cobertura vacinal e para território livre da febre aftosa no menor tempo possível. “Esse Dia de Campo reflete esse intercâmbio entre governo, produtores e instituições parceiras para que se alcance um melhor desempenho técnico e a Bahia livre da febre aftosa com repercussões econômicas positivas”, declarou.
O dirigente da ADAB reafirmou que não se faz defesa agropecuária sem assistência técnica, pesquisa e extensão rural, daí ser essencial a participação integrada da Ceplac, EDBA, Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (Uesc) e todos os segmentos interessados no desenvolvimento do estado. “É preciso se alicerçar a defesa agropecuária, extensão e assistência para chegar ao produtor e há 50 anos a Ceplac faz isso bem. Por isso a parceria de resultados com esse órgão reconhecido pela região e pelo País”, comentou Cássio Peixoto.
Foram montados seis toldos na entrada da fazenda onde os produtores foram agrupados para ouvir palestras dos médicos veterinários da ADAB Lanarrose Lopes, Gildásio Brandão, Luciano Santana, Fernanda Mendonça, Selma Cristina dos Santos e Ariane da Silva Freitas sobre febre aftosa, brucelose e raiva e seus efeitos danos à agropecuária. Na oportunidade os participantes do Dia de Campo puderam esclarecer dúvidas e obter informações sobre cuidados sanitários com o rebanho, incluindo aplicação de vacinas.
O coordenador regional da ADAB Itabuna, João Carlos Oliveira, destacou o trabalho de mobilização feito pelos extensionistas do Núcleo Regional de Itabuna da Ceplac e a interação com os profissionais da instituição, EBDA e Uesc. “A parceria traz resultados excelentes por que mostra ao criador que vacinar é importante o rebanho, mas saber o porquê de fazer este trabalho, a idade do animal e a necessidade de registrar nos escritórios da ADAB em uma ação de educação sanitária”, explicou, acrescentando que isso mais essencial que a fiscalização da qualidade dos alimentos que chegam à mesa dos cidadãos.
A pecuarista Midenilda dos Santos Reis, da Fazenda Pedacinho do Céu, no Distrito de Bandeira do Almada, em Coaraci, se disse satisfeita com a realização do Dia de Campo na propriedade pela integração que proporciona com os criadores de rebanho bovino de leite e de corte pelas informações que são transmitidas pelos técnicos para combater as doenças, principalmente a aftosa. “A gente reuniu não só os vizinhos como gente da região de Almadina, Barro Preto, Coaraci, Itapitanga e Itajuipe para se conscientizar sobre a necessidade de vacinação dos rebanhos”, falou.
Já o pequeno produtor de Itajuípe Luedson Gualberto Nascimento afirmou que o evento demonstra a preocupação dos órgãos de defesa sanitária com o rebanho fazendo o controle de vacinas e de doenças. “A ADAB e os parceiros trabalha para melhorar a região e com certeza isso será compreendido pelos criadores que só terão a ganhar com a sanidade de seu rebanho”. O pecuarista Edson Galo também se mostrou satisfeito com a ação dos técnicos, já que “como pequeno produtor se tem sempre que buscar informações e fiscalizar e orientar os vizinhos para que a região fique livre de doenças que afetam o rebanho”, concluiu.
