Ceplac realiza Festa do Cacau no Pará

Os avanços da cacauicultura no Estado, com a expansão das áreas e elevação da produtividade, foram os principais temas destacados pelas lideranças políticas e rurais na abertura da 11ª Festa Estadual do Cacau realizada em Rurópolis, na região transamazônica, que reúni de 15 a 18 de setembro mais de 10 mil pessoas. Para o secretário de Agricultura do Pará – Cássio Pereira, que representou o governo do Estado no evento, as parcerias da Ceplac com as iniciativas pública e privada viabilizaram a concretização desses avanços, permitindo o incentivo ao aumento da produção e à industrialização do cacau no Estado. Atualmente ele representa o segundo maior produtor brasileiro de cacau.

De acordo com o superintendente da Ceplac no Pará, Raymundo Mello, o evento que visa à instituição de fóruns, debates e a visibilidade cultural dos municípios, e consequentemente o fortalecimento da cacaueira, reúni produtores e convidados de vários municípios. Eles participam de cursos, painéis, palestras, visitas técnicas e prestigiam concursos, como o de quebra de cacau, o de qualidade de amêndoas secas e inclusive, o de Rainha da Festa.

Instituído em 1986 por decreto governamental para incentivar e fortalecer a cacauicultura paraense, o evento que teve este ano como tema: “Expandir a lavoura e conquistar mercados pela qualidade”, é realizado em Rurópolis, considerando que a cada ano é sediado por municípios que se destacam na produção. Segundo os organizadores, o apoio da Prefeitura Municipal é decisivo na realização e sucesso do evento. Para eles, o mais importante é que o encontro congrega uma série de eventos técnicos visando o aumento da competitividade do setor.

O evento que foi promovido pelo Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (Mapa), através da Superintendência da Ceplac no Pará em parceria com o Governo Estadual por meio da Secretaria de Agricultura e Prefeitura Municipal de Rurópolis, teve o apoio de várias instituições ligadas à agropecuária. Entre elas, o Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Rural (Senar), a Federação de Agricultura do Estado do Pará (Faepa), Federação dos Trabalhadores na Agricultura Familiar (Fetraf), além do SEBRAE e Banco da Amazônia.
