Bahia inaugura primeira indústria de Pólen do Brasil e impulsiona segmento apícola na região Sul

Com processamento inicial de 12 toneladas de pólen e capacidade instalada de até 72 toneladas ao ano, será inaugurada na próxima sexta-feira (17), no município de Canavieiras, a primeira indústria de pólen do Brasil. A unidade contou com um investimento na ordem de R$ 130 mil, resultado da parceria entre a Secretaria Agricultura (Seagri), por intermédio da Superintendência da Agricultura Familiar da Seagri (Suaf), e a Associação Canavieirense de Apicultores (Acapi). Para viabilizar a comercialização da produção apícola no território nacional, o empreendimento aguarda a emissão do Selo de Inspeção Estadual (Sie), com equivalência ao Sisb, a ser emitido pela Agência de Defesa Agropecuária da Bahia, tornando-se também pioneiro na aquisição da certificação.

A inauguração integra o programa do I Encontro Regional da Cadeia Produtiva do Pólen da Bahia e Feira Territorial a serem realizados conjuntamente nos dias 16 e 17 deste mês em Canavieiras, no Auditório Professor Caio Peltier Loureiro, na Secretaria da Educação Municipal. O evento é uma realização da Seagri, em parceria com o Sebrae e a Acapi e deverá atrair cerca de 500 pessoas entre apicultores, empresários, estudantes, especialistas e lideranças sociais, além de autoridades do setor público.

No ranking nacional, os estados da Bahia e de Santa Catarina lideram e respondem pela quase totalidade da produção do país. Vale ressaltar que, incentivados pelo desenvolvimento apícola baiano, os estados de Sergipe e Alagoas já fomentam a produção e estarão representados no evento.

Além de ser o maior produtor e o pioneiro na produção baiana, o município de Canavieiras se destaca em relação à freqüência no período de produção que vai do mês de janeiro a dezembro, tendo como florada principal as palmáceas, inclusive a palmeira de dendê, camaçari e cajá. Dentre as especificidades para uma produtividade também recorde, estão o uso de tecnologia adaptada, garantidos através da parceria com a Universidade de Taubaté, São Paulo.

O município sede também alcançou recorde mensal de produção média de pólen por colméia, com a marca de 48 quilos. Uma variação significativa, quando comparada ao último número que pertencia ao Rio Grande do Sul, 900 gramas. Atualmente, a Bahia comercializa no atacado, de forma indireta através de São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro e Minas Gerais, existindo demanda para os estados de Goiás, Rio Grande do Sul e Distrito Federal. Em Canavieiras, o pólen é comercializado no atacado por indisponibilidade de oferta no varejo, perdendo desta forma esta fatia do mercado. Realidade que será mudada, a partir da instalação da nova fábrica.

Através do incentivo à cadeia, o Governo da Bahia já inseriu 10 mil apicultores no Estado e, para isso, a Seagri está promovendo o cadastramento pioneiro e inspeção dessas unidades de beneficiamentos, garantidos pela Agência de Defesa Agropecuária da Bahia (Adab), além de apoiar projetos e iniciativas de incremento da produção. Para a especialista em apicultura da Seagri, Marivanda Eloy, a indústria de pólen vai agregar valor ao produto e ampliar a renda dos pequenos produtores. “Ao diminuir a informalidade, é garantido a esses apicultores, um produto de maior qualidade e aceitação, com preço justo e incremento na renda”, declarou.

Ainda segundo ela, o preço do pólen praticado varia nas diversas formas de comercialização. No atacado, o quilo do produto processado custa R$ 50,00 e, no varejo é cotado entre R$ 30,00 e R$ 150,00. “A valorização se deve, entre outras coisas, ao conhecimento, por parte do consumidor sobre as propriedades nutricionais do pólen, rico em proteínas e vitaminas, considerado importante fonte energética”, concluiu.

Segundo a Normativa n.º 03 de 19 de Janeiro de 2001 do Ministério de Agricultura e do Abastecimento (Brasil, 2001), define-se pólen apícola como o resultado da aglutinação do pólen das flores, efetuada pelas abelhas operárias, mediante néctar e suas substâncias salivares, o qual é recolhido no ingresso da colméia.

O evento

O evento terá uma sessão de  palestras com pesquisadores que atualmente são maiores autoridades na área de pólen  a nível nacional e internacional, dentre eles, a pesquisadora da Universidade de Taubaté-SP, Lidia  Barreto. Paralelo ao evento, estará acontecendo a Feira Territorial, que contará com a participação de fornecedores de equipamentos apícolas e artesanato da agricultura familiar da região.

A realização do I Encontro Regional da cadeia Produtiva do Pólen da Bahia potencializará, dentre outras coisas, a união e cooperação dos Apicultores da região, para através de suas entidades representativas, proporcionar a unificação de políticas públicas e ações para o desenvolvimento do setor, visando o fortalecimento de sua capacidade organizacional, gerencial e empreendedora, com o  objetivo do Estado se consolidar como o maior  produtor nacional de Pólen.
