Agricultores familiares discutem sobre o cultivo da graviola na Ba

Mais de 600 pessoas participaram do 1º Seminário da Graviola no município de Wenceslau Guimarães na última semana. Agricultores familiares e pequenos empresários lotaram o auditório da Escola Municipal Menandro Minahin para receber informações sobre a importância da cultura da graviola no Estado, a estruturação da cadeia produtiva e aspectos relacionados à defesa agropecuária no cultivo.

“Nosso objetivo é oferecer informação para criar ferramentas adequadas à realidade da região”, destacou o diretor de defesa vegetal da Agência de Defesa Agropecuária da Bahia (Adab), Armando Sá, na abertura do evento. “Temos que fixar o homem no campo com dignidade sem medir esforços para levar tecnologia e desenvolvimento para a cultura da graviola na Bahia”.

O Estado é o maior produtor mundial de graviola, produzindo, em média, 15 toneladas por hectare. Estima-se que na próxima safra sejam produzidas 20 mil toneladas da fruta, gerando ainda mais emprego e renda para os 32 municípios produtores, com destaque para as cidades de Wenceslau Guimarães, Tancredo Neves e Gandu. “O crescimento da produção precisa estar associado à questão da sustentabilidade. Por isso é fundamental estabelecer estratégias de ação em conjunto e difundir informação para que os agricultores familiares tenham um produto de qualidade para ofertar ao mercado”, destacou o engenheiro agrônomo da Adab, Geraldo Nascimento.

“A defesa agropecuária, assim como outros elos da cadeia produtiva, não pode andar sozinha. Para o sucesso das atividades é preciso o apoio dos parceiros e produtores”, salientou a coordenadora do Projeto das Anonáceas, Keyla Soares, que falou sobre a principal praga da graviola, a Broca-do-Fruto, responsável pela perda de até 100% da produção.

As boas práticas na agroindustrialização da graviola, aspectos relacionados às condições de mercado e diversificação da produção também estiveram em pauta durante o encontro realizado pelo Comitê Gestor do Agronegócio da Região de Gandu, Prefeitura Municioal de Wenceslau Guimrães, SEBRAE, Fabe/Senar e Secretaria da Agricultura através da Agência de Defesa Agropecuária da Bahia (Adab).
