Aberta consulta pública com normas para importação e exportação de sementes e mudas

A proposta de Instrução Normativa com regras para importação e exportação de sementes e mudas está em consulta pública por 30 dias, a partir desta sexta-feira (19), de acordo com a Portaria Nº 97, publicada no Diário Oficial da União (DOU).

A norma estabelece critérios para a comercialização de material de multiplicação vegetal (para reprodução) com outros países. De acordo com a proposta, só poderão realizar a importação e a exportação de sementes e mudas, os produtores, reembaladores ou comerciantes inscritos no Registro Nacional de Sementes e Mudas (Renasem).

“A medida visa ajustar os procedimentos entre as áreas técnicas do Ministério da Agricultura que atuam com sementes e mudas, melhorando o atendimento ao usuário do sistema e permitindo maior segurança na questão do comércio internacional de material de propagação vegetal”, explica o diretor do Departamento de Fiscalização de Insumos Agrícolas do Mapa, Girabis Evangelista.

Assim que for aprovada e publicada, a nova norma revogará a Instrução Normativa Nº 50/2006, atualmente em vigor, que estabelece as normas para a importação e exportação de sementes e mudas.
